How It Works
No creativity is required. You do not need to be an “artist” to participate in Art Coaching exploration. In fact, you will not be learning "how to be an artist", but rather how using creative mediums can increase your well-being. Your Art Coach will NOT be analyzing your artwork for therapeutic content. Your Art Coach will guide you in processing your artwork through your own frame of mind. Through this course, you will be guided by your Art Coach for the duration of the scheduled sessions. You will then continue to work on your artwork if more time is needed, outside of the scheduled session. You will share your artwork and your feelings about it at the beginning of each session. In this course, we will remain strength based and use art coaching to stay positive in our journey to grow. This Art Coaching Course allows flexibility in what you would like to explore. Work with your coach to select curriculum to achieve an individualized 4 to 8 week course.
A Look Into An Art Coaching Session
Once you have worked with your Coach to establish your individualized curriculum, your first session will begin! Get cozy in a comfortable, well lit area to begin digging in to your first project. We will discuss the intention you wish to achieve before beginning. Resources and a walk through of how to use the tools will be shared before we discuss how you wish to begin expressing yourself. An example of a session curriculum could be "goal setting through vision boards" or "focus and grounding with Mandalas". We have many topics to choose from to guide you in your journey. As you might be exploring vision boards to document and visualize your life goals, we can discuss short and long term goals, where you see yourself in the future, what inspires you to work through change, what barriers may get in your way, and how to move through them. The possibilities are endless with ART!

If you are currently enrolled in Rise Wyoming, High Fidelity Wraparound, this course can be added to your plan by speaking with your Facilitator at no additional cost.
